Two Black Thugs Murder White 19-Year-Old Berry College Student in Georgia Armed Robbery

According to law enforcement in Rome, Georgia, the Floyd County Police Department has made two arrests in the death of a 19-year-old student of Berry College.

Another senseless tragedy by violent criminals who have zero regards for human life or anyone outside their own benefit, and now an innocent young man had his life cut short as a result.

Joseph McDaniel, a bright and aspiring student who had dreams of success and living a fulfilling life as a third-year Business Management student, was shot and killed by two violent thugs at an off-campus location off Old Summerville Road.

Officers received information that the two people responsible for McDaniel’s death were hiding at an apartment complex in Columbus, Georgia where they then obtained a search warrant.

Once inside the residence officers detained 19-year-old Ricket Damon Carter III and 19-year-old Troy Jamal Cokley and charged the pair with first-degree murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a controlled substance.

The two savage animals claimed that they had traveled Rome to a location where McDaniel was at, and an argument between the three resulted in the death of the young college student.

Berry College's Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students released the following statement in response to the McDaniel's murder:

”As a college community already mourning the loss of one of its students, this additional tragedy cuts deep. We grieve with Joseph's family and friends. Students are encouraged to reach out to their Resident Advisors or Student Affairs staff members if they need assistance in connecting with a member of the Counseling Center or Chaplain's staff.”

”The police are investigating all leads regarding the circumstances of the shooting and more information will be provided at a later time. Our community has been remarkable in showing support and care for each other in tragic circumstances and it is heartbreaking to need to do this again. Please be as supportive of each other as possible as we all seek to make sense of this tragedy.”

Now, these two murderers will be able to live out their lives even behind bars while the family of McDaniel will never again speak to the child they knew and loved.
