Man Shoots Himself In The Penis During Robbery

A 19-year-old man in Chicago found out the hard way that he isn't good at being a criminal while trying to rob a hot dog stand the man shot himself in the penis. When Terrion Pouncy is released from the hospital, he won't be going home, he'll be going to jail on two counts of armed robbery. Pouncy missed his bond hearing Thursday at Leighton Criminal Courthouse due to the injury and remains in the hospital. Judge Stephanie Miller ordered Pouncy be held without bond.

The robber was caught at the Oak Lawn hospital after he was found slumped on somebody's porch across the street from the restaurant he had just tried to rob. Assistant Cook County State's Attorney Erin Antonietti told the court that Pouncy was unable to run any further because of the pain of a self-inflicted gunshot wound suffered when tried to adjust the .38-caliber pistol in his waistband as he ran off from Maxwell Street Express.

Pouncy had entered the restaurant at 116th and Halsted where he demanded cash from two employees and holding a 39-year-old an employee at gunpoint. The employees were in the process of handing a bucket of grease over the counter and in the commotion it spilled. Pouncy picked up the greasy cash and ran away when the gun slipped firing and hitting his penis.

Talk about instant-Karma, Pouncy had barely made it out the restaurant when the gunshot went off, the 39-year-old employee tried wrestling him down but he staggered out the door before collapsing across the street. He was matched at the hospital by police because of his blood-stained boxers matching the ones in the surveillance footage when he bent over to pick up the money since they had a unique pattern.
