Chelsea Clinton Slams SNL Writer Who Attacks Barron Trump

Chelsea Clinton’s mother was a big-time loser in last year’s Presidential elections. However, the former First Daughter says that she does not approve of people attacking President Trump by slamming his 10-year old son. Barron Trump has not been immune to mockery that critics have shown online during his father’s rise to political prominence. Slams on the children of politicians is typically frowned upon, the trolling has been going on even after the new president was sworn into office.

Despite Hillary Clinton’s daughter calling for action against Trump’s policies, she also offered a defense of Barron by suggesting that people ought to leave the boy alone. This was after Barron was targeted on social media by a Saturday Night Live Writer.

The Saturday Night Live Writer, Katie Rich tweeted on Friday night that the president’s youngest son will be the country’s first homeschool shooter. However, critics chastised the writer for attacking the child, this led Rich to eventually take the tweet down and turn her account private. NBC is yet to comment on the tweet since it received a wave of criticism as reported by Fox News.

In a post made by Chelsea Clinton on her personal Facebook and Twitter pages on Sunday afternoon, children of elected officials should be off limits to journalists and the media. In her post, Chelsea Clinton included a reference to President Trump, urging people to stand up to him if he enacts policies that may hurt kids.

Chelsea Clinton knows very well about the trials and tribulations that come from growing up in the White House. While she was 12 years old, her father, President Bill Clinton assumed the presidency. Being the only child of Bill and Hillary Clinton, she received mostly positive responses from her followers for standing up for Barron, despite his father defeating her mother in the election.
