Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited a Jollibee branch in Tondo when he arrived in the Philippines on Sunday. He is visiting The Philippines for the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.
Jollibee is worldwide Filipino fast-food chain. It opened the first branch in Canada last December (2016).
In 2015, Canada welcomed more than 50,000 permanent residents from the Philippines, making it Canada’s top source country for permanent residents that year. In 2016, Canada issued nearly 35,000 visas to Filipinos for tourism. There are approximately 15,000 Canadians residing in the Philippines.
Jollibee twitter also posted photos of PM Trudeau talking and taking selfies with some of the customers at the fast food restaurant. He ordered fried chicken and strawberry float.

Jose Minana, a Jollibee executive, said it was Canadian officials who requested for the visit.
Justin is a son of Pierre Elliott Trudeau, who also was Canadian Prime Minister.
His mother, Margaret Trudeau, is being said that she had an affair with US Senator Ted Kennedy. She was also associated with members of the Rolling Stones, including Ronnie Wood, according to Keith Richards's autobiography.
Pierre Elliott Trudeau clarified Canada's identity as a nation and made a major contribution to Canad a's reconstruction with multiculturalism and assistance from developing countries.
