Congressman Alcee Hastings Submits Bill to Bomb Iran

H.J.Res.10, proposed a new bill to Congress that will allow the U.S. to Preemptively attack Iran in order to prevent them from obtaining nuclear weapons. H.J.Res.10 introduced the bill at the beginning of January, the bill will give the US Armed Forces the ability to launch airstrikes against Iran without input or oversight from the Congress.

In a report issued by Ronpaullibertyreport.com, the title of the bill expounds on the whole intent behind it, by revealing that it’s a bill to authorize the use of the United States Armed Forces to achieve the goal of preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Rep. Alcee Hastings introduced the legislation which appears to be an authorization for the President to use military force against Iran. However, its worse than that. Reason being that it specifically authorizes the president to launch a pre-emptive war on Iran at any time of his choosing without any further Congressional input or oversight.

The operative sentence in the resolution makes it clear that the President is authorized to use Armed Forces of the United States as the President determines necessary and appropriate in order to achieve the goal of preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

This comes at a time when President Trump and his national security team has been extraordinarily aggressive toward Iran, they’ve repeatedly threatened Iran both at the negotiating table and on the battlefield. H.J.Res.10 proposal appears not to be feasible, however, it might be the blank check that the administration craves. This comes as the tensions continue to escalate due to the ongoing US and allied saber-rattling in the Persian Gulf.

The UK, US and allied military forces will participate in an operation ‘’Unified Trident,’’ which will be a joint exercise in the Persian Gulf that will simulate a military confrontation with Iran.
