Authorities in Cecil County, Maryland say they've apprehended a vicious pedophile who's accused of distributing child pornography over the internet.
39-year-old Freddie Emerson Crockett, of Earlville, Maryland was charged with three counts of distribution of imagery of a minor engaged in sexual conduct and six counts of possession of imagery of an individual under the age of 16 engaged in sexual conduct.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children first tipped off the Maryland State Computer Crimes Unit that an IP address pinpointing the home of Crockett had been sharing sexually explicit images of prepubescent children back in October, according to<a href="http://www.wusa9.com/mobile/article/news/local/maryland/md-man-charged-in-child-porn-case/493975009"> WUSA</a>
Once the Maryland State Police confirmed that the residence belonged to Crockett, they began a nearly two month-long investigation into the data being transferred to and from the residence.
After gathering conclusive evidence that Crockett had indeed been sending and receiving the disturbing imagery they then obtained a search warrant and raided the home Wednesday placing him under arrest.
Another major victory for the innocent children who could have become further victim to this monster.
