Netflix Fires Danny Masterson Amid Rape Allegations

Netflix dismissed the "The Ranch" star Danny Masterson. There are multiple rapes allegations against this actor.

According to a Netflix spokesperson "As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of 'The Ranch.' Yesterday was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him."

Masterson will still appear in the second half of the season 2 on 15th December. Masterson is a multicamera comedy and is co-starring Ashton Kutcher 's brother.

In March, the Los Angeles police confirmed that three women claimed sexual assault in the early 2000s. At that time, Masterson called criticism "fake".

He insisted the accusations seemed to be a scheme to boost the ratings of Leah Remini's A&E TV show, "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath." LAPD is investigating this claim.

Monday, Andy Yeatman (Director of Global Children's Content) said he did not believe the women who were accusing Masterson of rape. Netflix confirmed that he made "careless" and "uninformed" comments.

The accusers asked why Netflix did not take any action against Masterson as she confronted Yeatman in a youth football game. He said, "We don't believe them," referring to the accusers.

The woman said she then told Yeatman that she was one of them and began to cry, saying, "I hope no one ever says that to your daughter."

In November, Netflix severed ties with Kevin Spacey after multiple accusers alleged that he sexually assaulted them.
