Video: River Oaks, Texas Jewelry Stored Robbed Through Roof - Have You Seen These Black Men?

The authorities are still trying to unravel a burglary that was unleashed by two people in a high-end jewelry store in River Oaks through the roof and one of them made a getaway by leaping 15 feet between buildings.

The attempted jewelry heist took place this morning at the Deutsch & Deutsch Jewelers on Westheimer near Weslayan. Reports from law enforcement indicate that two suspects wearing dark masks, hooded sweatshirts and gloves broke into the business, rappelling from a hole in the roof.

The surveillance footage shows the suspects breaking display cases. The suspects took off with trails of jewelry and other debris scattered as they left.

Reports indicate that one of the suspects was able to get back on the roof and ran to the end of the strip of buildings in the shopping center. Investigators said the suspects made a huge leap to a neighboring building.

The police have not made any arrests yet although the surveillance cameras captured an image of one of the suspects. The store owner, identified as Lance Deutsch was woken up with news of the incident from his security team. He also emphasized that nothing of value is kept in display cases overnight.

According to Deutsch, this is the first such incident that has happened at the store, which has been in business for 23 years. Even after the mess that was left behind, he still plans to open as normal later today. "I will be open at 10 a.m," Deutsch said laughing. "Well, come on. We got three shopping days left (until Christmas)."
