Olympic Skier Lindsey Vonn Looks for Her Valentine on Twitter

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn has ignited people on social media to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit by well using herself as “object of interest.” Vonn took to Twitter on Wednesday from PyeongChang, South Korea asking her almost a million-strong followers who could win her and be her Valentine.

The 33-year-old athlete tweeted: “So apparently it’s Valentine’s Day… I forgot all about it because I’m at the Olympics and I’m single. Anyone else out there single and want to be my Valentine?#worthashot.”

Anyone else out there single and want to be my valentine? 🤷🏼‍♀️ <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/worthashot?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#worthashot</a></p>&mdash; lindsey vonn (@lindseyvonn) <a href="https://twitter.com/lindseyvonn/status/963667334492774400?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 14, 2018</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Vonn’s Valentine message was retweeted more than 700 times and liked by more than 7,000 users. It also got almost 3,000 replies, most vying to be her chosen one.

One user said: “@lindseyvonn I would love to be your Valentine, will you be mine?”

Another tried the witty route and replied to Vonn’s post: “I’d be honored to Vonn-lunteer.”

One was really funny and said: “If you’ll win at least one gold medal…MAYBE I can give you a shot. MAYBE."

Another wrote: “Roses are red. Medals are gold. I’d get down on one knee, but I’m way too old. Happy valentines Miss V, and good luck.”

One reply stood out, however, not only for the obvious effort put in coming out with a message but from whom it came from. American pro race car driver Conor Daly got into the game and sent a sweet message to Vonn’s way.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">L-oves America<br>I-s going to win gold<br>N-eeds to be my Valentine <br>D-oes magical things on skis <br>S-now and stuff <br>E-veryone is cheering for you<br>Y-ou think this will work?<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/HappyValentinesDay?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#HappyValentinesDay</a></p>&mdash; Conor Daly (@ConorDaly22) <a href="https://twitter.com/ConorDaly22/status/963767275907158016?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 14, 2018</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Vonn was Tiger Woods’ former flame. She also broke up with former NFL coach Kenan Smith last November after a year of dating. For now, Vonn is still replying to messages and has not given her sweet yes to any of the “proposals” yet.
