There's a disturbing report coming out of Bellevue, Ohio today about a pedophile who law enforcement suggest was caught with over one million images of child pornography that's now facing 133 criminal counts of child pornography and was later released back into the public on bond.
Authorities say that 39-year old Joseph Obrien was first investigated in 2016 after the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was made aware that an IP address belonging to Obrien was responsible for sharing numerous files that contained child pornography in the 300 block of Union Street in Bellevue.

Sandusky County Prosecutor Tim Braun said, "When they executed a search, they found more than a million images and video and it takes a awful lot of time to compile that many.He was only charged with a fraction of what we could have charged him with."
Braun also said that the majority of the disturbing images and videos of prepubescent children do not appear to be children from the Sandusky area, which seemingly implies these were known images to the database of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
"Some of the charges deal with the possession of photos and videos, and some the charges are from information that he published on the internet and made available to others," Sandusky County prosecutor Tim Braun said
Obrien has been charged with 78 counts of illegal use of a minor in nude material and 55 counts of pandering sexual oriented material of a minor and has already been indicted by a Grand Jury on all 133 counts.
"The investigation centered on Obrien and over the course of the investigation a large amount of photos and videos of child pornography were found in the defendant's possession," Ohio Attorney General spokeswoman Jill Del Greco said.
Obrien was arrested by Sandusky Sheriff's Deputies last week, and formally brought before a judge for his arraignment.
After being ordered held on a $30,000 bond, Obrien paid and has now been released on his own recognizance, according to the<a href="http://www.sanduskyregister.com/story/201802140023"> Sandusky Register</a>.
Yes, a man caught with over one-million images and videos of minor children being sexually assaulted has now been released back into society.
This is disturbing, and one of the many reasons citizens need to contact their elected officials and demand legislation ordering anyone who's sexually assaulted a child or engaged in the downloading or production of child pornography to be held without bond and face federal charges.
These are not victimless crimes. Even when the pedophile simply downloaded the materials.
Someone, somewhere has molested the children in the images or videos, oftentimes sodomizing or sexually assaulted the innocent prepubescent children in a horrific fashion that could be compared to torture.
