Seattle - Man Accusing Mayor Of Child Sex Abuse Found Dead (47)

Delvonn Heckard, one of the five men who accused former Seattle Mayor Ed Murray of sexual abuse, was found dead in a motel in Auburn. He was only 47.

His family confirmed Mr Heckard had died and that they received a call from the medical examiner’s office. The cause and manner of death are still pending at this point. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office did not want to give any further details.

Democrat Ed Murray served as the 53rd mayor of Seattle from 2014 to 2017.

Auburn Assistant Police Chief, Mr Bill Pierson explained that his forces responded to a room at the Auburn Motel for an apparent drug overdose. According to his report, medics unsuccessfully attempted to resuscitate the man. A witness interviewed at the scene said police found “some type of medication in the room, as well as some illicit drug paraphernalia.”

Mr Heckard was the man who effectively ended former Seattle Mayor Ed Murray when he became the fifth person to accuse him of child sex abuse, claiming that Mr Murray had paid him for sex while he was a teen in the 1980s.
