A terror attack has occurred in Lille after a shooter went on loose. The attack was conducted by a hooded gunman.
The attacker shot three people outside Metro Station in French city. The hooded gunman managed to escape from the scene after unleashing the attack.
The incident saw at least three people injured in the attack, one of the victims of the shooting was a 14-year-old boy.
The drive-by shooting took place in central Lille, leaving three people severely wounded. Surprisingly, the shooter managed to flee from the scene.
The Police authorities have responded to the incident by sealing off Central Lille. The injured teenager was just 14 years old.
Armed police officers have sealed off all roads leading to the city centre in an attempt to contain the situations and catch the attacker.
There were reports saying that there were several shots fired near the Porte d’Arras Metro station around 9:50PM.
The 14-year-old boy had been shot in the leg. Two other youths had also been injured.
Two of the victims were found helpless at the scene while the third victim managed to get to the nearby hospital.
La Voix Du Nord, which is a respected French news site reported that the victims who were injured were shot several times.
One of those attacked is said to have been shot in the neck.
There were reports claiming that the shooting was a revenge attack. Anti-terrorist police were called to the scene to conduct further investigations.
The police authorities said that a car pulled up outside the station and targeted the three youths. The police said that it appears that somebody was trying to settle of scores.
The police source also said that the shooting was thought to be related to the drugs trade in Lille. Fortunately, none of the injuries is said to be life threatening.
