Tax Return Protesters Were Paid Says President Trump

President Donald Trump is convinced that protesters who attended rallies demanding that he release his tax returns were "paid".

The President took to Twitter to greet his millions of followers a happy Easter Sunday and then aired his displeasure with protesters and the tax returns issue. Trump said that someone should look into who paid for the small organized rallies yesterday. He stressed that the election is over!

Trump also recalled the amazing election victory he accomplished last year. He said that what he did was an almost impossible thing to do for a Republican which to easily win the Electoral College. The President is incredulous as he asked: "now tax returns are being brought up again?"

The President counts 28 million followers on Twitter. He has said many times in the past that his refusal to show his tax returns for the meantime is because he is still under audit by the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS has said Trump can still show his tax returns even while under audit, but the President preferred not to until the conclusion of the audit.

Anti-Trump protests were held across the country to coincide with the Tax Day on April 15, the deadline for Americans to file their IRS returns. The protests were mostly organized by the group TaxMarch.org whose executive committee includes a former Occupy Wall Street protester. Other protesters include those from labor unions and activists groups.

Clashes between pro-Trump supporters and anti-Trump protesters took place on Saturday where at least 20 people were arrested at a park in Berkley, California.

Trump has also said in the past that protesters attending rallies against him are "professionals", paid to make trouble. He tweeted on November 10 last year after his victory that the country just had a very open and successful presidential election. But those professional protesters, incited by media are protesting. Trump called it very unfair.

On February 3, he also tweeted that professional anarchists, thugs, and paid protesters are proving the point of the millions of people who voted to Make America Great Again!
