Melania Trump Fights Back Against Peter Fonda and His Vile Tweet Against Barron

When it comes to being a mother and defending her son, First Lady Melania Trump will always be in a fierce, fighting mode.

Her office contacted the Secret Service after actor Peter Fonda irresponsibly went after 12-year-old Barron Trump during an early morning Twitter rant on Wednesday.

Fonda called for Barron “to be ripped from Melania Trump’s arms and put in a cage with pedophiles.” The exact tweet in angry all caps before it was deleted went: “WE SHOULD RIP BARRON TRUMP FROM HIS MOTHER’S ARMS AND PUT HIM IN A CAGE WITH PEDOPHILES AND SEE IF MOTHER WILL WILL STAND UP AGAINST THE GIANT ASSHOLE SHE IS MARRIED TO. 90 MILLION PEOPLE IN THE STREETS ON THE SAME WEEKEND IN THE COUNTRY. F—."

Stephanie Grisham, the first lady’s communication director, described the tweet as “sick and irresponsible.” She also confirmed in a statement that the Secret Service has been notified regarding the tweet that can be construed as child cruelty and threat.

Fonda, the “Easy Rider”’ star and younger brother of actress Jane Fonda, has since deleted the tweet and issued an apology. It is not just clear if the Secret Service being notified about the said tweet has anything to do with Fonda’s change of stance as far as involving the child Barron Trump is concerned.

Social media users were angered by the irresponsible and vile tweet of Fonda.

The actor said in his apology: "I tweeted something highly inappropriate and vulgar about the president and his family in response to the devastating images I was seeing on television. “

The statement added: “Like many Americans, I am very impassioned and distraught over the situation with children separated from their families at the border, but I went way too far. It was wrong and I should not have done it. I immediately regretted it and sincerely apologize to the family for what I said and any hurt my words have caused.”

Fonda may have forgotten or overlooked the fact that even Melania Trump has spoken against the policy of separating migrant families who cross the US-Mexico border illegally.

The First Lady issued her sentiments on the controversial issue through Grisham and the statement said:

"Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform. “She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with heart.”
