Ivanka Trump Pushes for More Education For Mid to Late-Career Workers

Ivanka Trump is lending a hand anew to the White House as she pushes for more education for mid and late career workers with the launch of a new program meant to help them better cope with an economy increasingly shifting from manufacturing to the service and technology industries.

The presidential daughter and senior White House advisor said President Donald Trump is slated to sign an executive order on the initiative later on Thursday.

Ivanka said in an interview with Joe Kernen on CNBC's "Squawk Box” that workers in the middle and later stages of their careers must have access to training that will aid them in transitioning to new jobs.”

Ivanka elaborated: "As a country, by and large, all investment in education stops at the age of 25, and that doesn't work in such a fast-changing, increasingly digital economy."

An experienced and savvy businesswoman herself, Ivanka also added that even if the economy is doing good under her father’s administration, with unemployment down to 4 %, employers are still concerned that there may not be enough workers with the right skill sets to fill vacancies.

The council to be set up will focus on a "holistic approach" to the development skills, whether it's during a person's elementary and high school years or their working years. Ivanka added that it “will bring all of government together to devise a national workforce strategy."

Yes MORE debt just get the whole population in collage debt before replacing them with machines completely. Not everyone can become a software developer its literally impossible to turn more than 20% of the populace into a technician or developer and even if you did they all wouldn't get hired for already taken positions anyway. What are they gonna do when 70% percent of the population is unemployed bomb 90% of inhabited land? That would be suicide and it wouldn't even get that far. Tax automation out the ass or get ready for scorched earth total war there would nowhere for anybody to hide until its over when it reaches that point.
