Asia Argento Turns To Victim Blaming: "Jimmy Bennett Sexually Assaulted Me!"

After nearly two years of campaigning against victim blaming and standing up for sexual assault victims, Asia Argento has turned to blame her own accuser. That's right, just when you thought Asia Argento couldn't stoop any lower she tried to flip the deck and accuse 17-year-old Jimmy Bennett of sexually assaulting her. Yeah, that's sure what the pictures show.

Mark Jay Heller, attorney for Argento, tried to turn Argento's text messages where she admits to sleeping with a minor into evidence in her favor by saying the texts tell the "real story" about what happened at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Marina del Rey, CA. The one phrase Heller refers to in the leaked text exchange reads, "The horny kid jumped me … I had sex with him it felt weird."

That is the evidence that Argento's attorney is trying to spin into a fabrication about how the 17-year-old sexually assaulted her, and not the other way around as Bennett claimed. If Bennett was the one who raped her, why did she pay him nearly half a million dollars? Or why didn't Argento go to the police if she was sexually assaulted? Heller says, "Asia chose at the time not to prosecute Bennett for sexually attacking her."

Heller says Bennett "chose to intrude on that relationship and demand financial payment from Bourdain in consideration for not embarrassing Asia and indirectly Bourdain …" Heller claims Bourdain opted to pay the $380,000 settlement to get rid of Bennett, which makes no sense if he raped Argento.

Of the $380,000 agreed settlement, Bourdain had paid $250,000 before he died and when Argento refused to pay the balance Bennett went forward with the information. Heller continued to attack Bennett saying:

"Asia does not intend to prosecute Bennett for his conduct and recognizes that his unfortunate past, his stalled acting career, and a lawsuit against his own parents for allegedly misappropriating more than a million and a half dollars from his account might explain his desperation to seek money from Asia and Bourdain for this falsely alleged incident that took place more than 5 years ago."
