Canada - Transgender Women’s Race Winner Slammed By Cycling Fans

||| Mockup The Goldwater |||

Cycling is a very popular sport in Europe. In certain countries, like Italy, France, Spain, and Belgium the second most popular after the eternal ‘soccer.’

Hence the reaction of European cycling fans to the now viral picture of the Canadian winner of the ‘women’s world championship’ race of this weekend is quite telling, with many claiming transgender Rachel McKinnon had a clear and ‘unnatural’ advantage over her competitors.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Men who identify as transgender do not belong in women&#39;s sports. It&#39;s cheating. <a href="https://t.co/vBJER05cDb">pic.twitter.com/vBJER05cDb</a></p>&mdash; Cathoel Jorss (@cathoel) <a href="https://twitter.com/cathoel/status/1052160497787826177?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 16, 2018</a></blockquote>

Her world championship win in the women’s 35-44 sprint final at the Velo Sports Center in Los Angeles earlier this week was marked by the image of her towering over her ‘female’ competitors. Ms. McKinnon, who was born a man, clearly has more muscle structure than any of the other riders.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I wasn&#39;t aware Lance Armstrong changed his name to Rachel McKinnon.<br><br>This is lunacy! Where the Hell are women activists? <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/SaveWomenSports?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#SaveWomenSports</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ThisIsNotFair?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#ThisIsNotFair</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WakeTheFUp?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WakeTheFUp</a> <a href="https://t.co/z6YeLVP7kX">https://t.co/z6YeLVP7kX</a></p>&mdash; Matt Soldano (@MattySold) <a href="https://twitter.com/MattySold/status/1051638235057872896?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 15, 2018</a></blockquote>

<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

American bronze winner Ms. Jennifer Wagner (right in the picture) led the criticism against McKinnon’s participation in the championships. She responded to English media commentator Ms. Katie Hopkins’ online swipe at McKinnon by declaring it was not fair that McKinnon was able to compete at all, calling it “febrile madness” for the UCI to sanction her participation.

Most newspaper commentators in Europe’s cycling nations seem to agree.

Ms. McKinnon has lashed back at the criticism directed at her: “I think there is absolutely no evidence that I have an unfair advantage.”

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">How is that an incredible accomplishment? It is a man competing in a women’s event. Regardless of what you feel it doesn’t change science. Unfair advantage and should not be allowed. You want equality???? Start a transgender league.</p>&mdash; Brent Sicely (@Bsicely) <a href="https://twitter.com/Bsicely/status/1051998384016494593?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 16, 2018</a></blockquote>

<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

“People who oppose transgender inclusion in sport put us in the double bind. It’s the “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” scenario. If I win, they attribute it to me being trans and having an unfair advantage. If I lose, the same people think I must not be good anyway. People will never attribute my winning to hard work which is what I think I deserve.”

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Blocked by Dr Rachel McKinnon for daring to question whether his physical build may have given him some advantage in a woman’s race, you can’t call yourself a champion if you’re not competing against your peers <a href="https://t.co/KKVVFedvek">pic.twitter.com/KKVVFedvek</a></p>&mdash; Rosemary F (@dollyd1979) <a href="https://twitter.com/dollyd1979/status/1051553094486695936?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 14, 2018</a></blockquote>

<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Twitter commentators were less comprehensive, with a men telling her: “How could you look the women you cheated out of a winning medal in the eye? How far do you think you have set back the trans movement with your shameful ‘win’.”

Another stated: “Blocked by Dr. Rachel McKinnon for daring to question whether his physical build may have given him some advantage in a woman’s race, you can’t call yourself a champion if you’re not competing against your peers.”

If he calls himself a woman, he can call himself a champion, too. Fantasy is boundless. The sick part is OTHERS have joined his delusions and deprived women of some of their due. Screw him and the sports authorities supporting this nonsense.

Simple way to test is the question that should be asked. Does your body make eggs or swimmers with a tail? Get a sample or you don’t race. End of controversy! Enough of the choose what you think you are. Mentally challenged need to be in a “special” competition just for them so everyone is a winner…there…..yeah.🥇
