Knoxville police have confirmed they are investigating a homicide scene where at least two victims are confirmed dead in a shooting on Joe Lewis Road at Daylily Drive.
In a tweet posted by Knoxville Police Department, they stated that officers responded to reports of a shooting with three victims on Thursday. They were dispatched to the scene at 1:25 p.m.
Officer say when they arrived to the scene of the shooting, they found three males who had been shot. One male was pronounced dead at the scene and two other males were transported to University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
Knoxville Police said the hospital has pronounced a second victim has died as a result of the injuries during the shooting.
Knoxville Detectives are at the scene of the homicide and their investigators are interviewing witnesses and examining evidence recovered from the scene.
