Arrest Made in 4th of July Shootings that Left 2 Dead in Ohio

An Ohio man has been detained following three shootings that left two people dead and another person wounded on July 4th.

Police say the suspect, 31, was taken into custody late Tuesday evening in the Columbus area after the fatal shootings in Ross and Highland counties.

The authorities say a 35-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Greenfield on Tuesday afternoon. Two more shootings followed in the Ross County in the afternoon and evening that left another one dead, and injuring another, according to the police.

Charges are expected to be filed against the suspect currently in custody. The investigation is also on-going. Other pertinent details of the shootings have yet to be released by the police, including identities of the suspect and victims, and the motive and other circumstances behind the crime.
