Switzerland Chainsaw Massacre

Police in Switzerland say that a chainsaw wielding attacker injured at least five people in a brutal attack, two of them seriously, and remains at large in the Swiss town of Schaffhausen.

Law enforcement say that the man entered the office of an insurance company in the town and injured multiple individuals around mid-morning local time.

The suspect was later named as Franz Wrousis, who is a 51 year old man who may be homeless which investigators say frequently lives in forests.

Police described Wrousis as armed and dangerous saying that he's tall, bald, and of unkempt appearance, and they need help locating him.

Authorities believe that he used a white VW Caddy vehicle in the barbaric attacks and they're currently unaware of his current whereabouts, since he escaped after the attacks.

An earlier police statement described the attack as “not terror related”, although it was a barbaric crime against humanity.

Wrousis has been previously charged by police for violations of weapons laws, officials said. While he has a criminal history he's also believed to suffer from mental illnesses.

The attacks happened at around 10:30 AM today when police say were alerted to the incident. Locals are urged to contact authorities if they see him.
