A 56-Year-Old disgraced Marine Colonel based out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina has been found guilty of sexual abuse of a child, six counts of conduct unbecoming of an officer and gentlemen, and absence without leave.
During the trial, the jury heard testimony from both accuser's mother, who said that the alleged victim was under the age of 12, and the officer's wife.
All of the incidents occurred in 2016 in multiple locations including Australia, Camp Lejeune, and Beaufort, South Carolina.
Wilson was charged with three counts of sexually abusing a child, nine counts of conduct unbecoming of an officer, sexual assault, assault consummated by battery, and absence without leave.
Testimony was also given during the trial by the United States government who says Wilson asked for and then shared an explicit photo of an officer's wife, and engaged in an inappropriate activity involving a child, the child's sister, and another woman.
Wilson will now be sentenced to 5 ½ years in confinement and be dismissed from service after 30 years in the Marine Corps and completing 11 deployments.
