Pedophile in Cleveland, Ohio Charged Under New Bestiality Law Over Giving Oral Sex to Dog

Authorities in Cleveland, Ohio say that the first person to be charged under Ohio’s new bestiality laws occurred after the state banned sex with Animals back in March.

47 year old Scott Turner, of Cleveland, Ohio, was charged by a Cleveland Animal Protection Officer with engaging in sexual conduct with an animal, a second degree misdemeanor, according to newly released court records in the case.

To top it off, the man was actually the one giving the dog the oral sex, which we will get into more later. Let's discuss the Ohio Bestiality Law first.

The new law, <a href="https://www.legislature.ohio.gov/legislation/legislation-summary?id=GA131-SB-195">Senate Bill 195 (SB195)</a> was passed unanimously last November with three key parts:

<blockquote>”It prohibits individuals from knowingly engaging in, promoting or aiding in sex acts with an animal. It also prohibits the sale or purchase of animals for sexual purposes.</blockquote>

<blockquote>”It allows animals found to be used for sexual purposes to be seized and impounded.”</blockquote>

<blockquote>”It allows for a court to either not allow the animal to be returned to its owner or require the offender to go to psychological counseling.”</blockquote>

"Without a doubt, this is a very dark and disturbing subject matter that no one wants to speak about," bill co-sponsor Senator Jay Hottinger (R-Newark) said. "However, the reality of the situation is that this is an issue in the underbelly of society that has disturbing consequences."

The most disturbing part of this case <i>(yes the plot is much more sickening than just the man having his mouth on the dog’s penis unfortunately)</i> is that this man is a Convicted Pedophile.

Turner previously spent over 12 years in prison for three separate sexual crimes involving children.

According to the dog's female owner, she left her pooch Athena in the care of Turner back on May 13th, when he gave the dog oral sex, according to Cleveland Animal Protection League President Sharon Harvey.

Scott Turner later wrote a letter admitting what he did to the dog. CAPL President Harvey declined to say who the letter was sent to, but that letter was then turned over to APL investigators.

Harvey said that Turner then admitted to APL investigators that he wrote the letter and had oral sex, or <i>gave oral sex</i> to the dog, according to court records.

"This is an unspeakable act," Harvey said. "But at least now we finally have something we can do about it."

Harvey also said without the new law in place, investigators' only option was to try and charge an offender under the existing animal cruelty laws, and that often proved difficult because prosecutors must prove the animal suffered cruelness as a result of the sex performed on or by the animal.

"The victim in these cases couldn't testify, of course, so they were difficult cases," Harvey said.

Currently there are just a total of five states (and the nation's capital) without bestiality laws in place, Kentucky, Hawaii, New Mexico, West Virginia, and Wyoming, and Washington D.C.

The saddest part of this is, the new law being only a second degree misdemeanor only carries a maximum penalty of 90 days.

So now a convicted pedophile and man who gives BJs to dogs will be back on the streets.
