Police Reveal Father Is The Suspect Behind Murder Of His Baby in Atlanta

Investigators say a man planned the murder of his newborn daughter, as well as the cover-up for the crime. Now, the father will be charged for his acts.

The authorities served warrants on Wednesday to Chris McNabb while he was sitting in the Newton County Jail on different charges.

Detectives allege that not only did McNabb kill the helpless two-week-old baby, who disappeared on Saturday, but also say the father planned to kill his own baby all along and hid her body in a duffel bag in the woods.

The police also say it was not simply a case of a father losing his senses and snapping. The statements of the authorities now provide a stark contrast to the picture McNabb painted on Saturday as he spoke to local media and said he was determined to find his baby while crews exerted efforts to search for baby Caliyah. He even screamed at Channel 2’s Chris Jose, “I want my kid, man!”

McNabb, however, did not really “look”’ for his baby. Instead, he fled as investigators searched the woods of Hamilton Mill Road. He was later caught in a car wash half a mile away. He was then arrested for a probation violation.

Now, authorities say only McNabb is a suspect for the crime. The motive for the baby’s murder has yet to be established, however. The police are leaving it to the District Attorney to make such assertions during hearings.
