Liberal Intolerance’s Latest Victims are Milos Yiannopoulos and Simon & Schuster

The general public is well aware of just how widespread liberal intolerance is, as seen during the presidential campaign period and in the events following the election. And now, after victimizing supporters of Donald Trump in Silicon Valley, it seems the liberals’ reign of hate and intolerance has begun targeting Milo Yiannopoulos and publishing firm Simon and Schuster.

Journalist Yiannopoulos, the editor of Breitbart News, recently released a book titled “Dangerous.” His work was then picked up by Simon & Schuster and agreed to publish it for its $250,000 deal with Yiannopoulos.

However, due to the author’s conservative background and political leaning, the deal was heavily criticized by liberals. Aside from targeting Yiannopoulos, these critics also started attacking Simon & Schuster for agreeing to publish his book.

One group, the Chicago Review of Books, even threatened the publishing house by stating that it will not review any material released by the company in 2017 due to the deal.

The unwarranted backlash that Yiannopoulos and Simon & Schuster are currently facing is no different from the one experienced by Trump supporters at the hands of Democrats and their liberal audience. For instance, shortly after Trump was elected president, Silicon Valley, which is a known supporter of Barack Obama and his bid Hillary Clinton, carried out a semi-witch hunt on employees and executives who voted for the Republican candidate.

Companies whose bosses voted for Trump were threatened by boycotts while the employees feared they might lose their jobs because of their political preferences.

This level of intolerance came from liberals, the same group of people who vowed to fight racism, hatred and social exclusion in any form. However, when it comes to conservatives and Republicans, it seems it’s totally acceptable for liberals to become intolerant. This even gets worse in the case of Yiannopoulos and Simon & Schuster. In this issue, the liberals’ hatred and intolerance have now crossed over to suppression of free speech.
