As the Counselor to the President, Ms Kellyanne Conway is often paraded by the mainstream media to respond to any allegations they may have on their Sunday morning talk shows. Today was no different. Subjects of discussion were the Rob Porter alleged abuse of his ex-wife and the accusation of Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand that Congress should hold hearings with women who have accused President Trump of sexual assault.

Hope Hicks

Jake Tapper of CNN, who had interviewed the ex-wives of White House aide Rob Porter this week, was quick to replay one of their clips in which Ms Jennie Willoughby claimed that she feared for the safety of Ms Hope Hicks, who had been in a short romantic relationship with Mr Porter.

To put this fear to rest, Ms Conway responded that: "I'm very close to Hope Hicks and I don't worry about her in that respect, I've rarely met somebody so strong with such excellent instincts and loyalty and smarts."

Kirsten Gillibrand

George Stephanopoulos of This Week ABC was next and he also talked about the Rob Porter story, more specifically, as he has been a former Democratic White House Chief of Communications, about the tweet by 2020 Democratic hopeful Ms Kirsten Gillibrand who had urged a congressional debate about the sexual assault allegations against President Trump (her tweet read ‘the lives of survivors of sexual assault and domestic abuse are being shattered every day. If he wants due process for the over dozen sexual assault allegations against him, let’s have Congressional hearings tomorrow. I would support that and my colleagues should too.’)

But Ms Conway also knocked that ball out of the park, stating that those accusers have "had their day on your network and elsewhere for a long time."

"I don't need a lecture from Kirsten Gillibrand or anybody else who protected and defended and harbored a sitting president who had sexual relations in the Oval Office and was impeached for lying."

"I don't need a lecture from her or anybody else."
