Rapper XXXTentacion Shot Dead in Florida

Rapper XXXTentacion was shot on Monday and the breaking news is that he’s just been pronounced dead.

Earlier at the scene of the incident, an eyewitness said the performer appeared lifeless with no pulse.

Entertainment site TMZ reported the incident. The 20-year-old XXX was just shopping for motorcycles in South Florida and just as he was leaving the motorcycle shop, a gunman ran up to his vehicle and shot him. Witnesses said they heard multiple shots being fired.

A social media user posted this short video online claiming it was at the scene of the incident where the rapper was shot.

According to the dispatch audio from 911 and The Broward Co. Fire Department, the rapper was brought to a “Level 1” trauma patient. Dispatchers described XXX as being in comatose then.

XXX has been quite successful in his musical career, his last album even debuted to #1.

The dispatch audio says the incident was a possible drive-by crime. Dispatchers named several possible getaway vehicles including a black Dodge Journey, Chevy Tahoe and a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Witnesses also told the police that a Louis Vuitton bag was taken from XXX's vehicle.

It is not clear If XXX was alone at the time of the incident.

The rapper had his share of feuds with others but there were no known huge or grave fights between him and anyone that might lead to an assassination attempt against him.

XXX, however, has been embroiled in many legal troubles. He is due for trial for domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend. The rapper is also facing more than a dozen felony charges. Prosecutors even accused him of witness tampering.

Last year a bunch of guys in L.A. jumped on him. He initially thought Migos was responsible for the incident. He later apologized to them, but confidently said the incident did not shake him enough to compel him to beef up his security detail.

The rapper was on house arrest, but the judge recently allowed him to go out, so he could tour.

The rapper’s supporters, fans and other social media users gave their thoughts and prayers to XXX online for the rapper’s shocking passing.
