Denver’s choice to welcome migrants is spilling blood into the neighboring suburbs. The infamous Tren de Aragua gang from Venezuela has established itself in Aurora, Colorado—a town that never wanted these asylum seekers in the first place.
Aurora, once a peaceful community of 390,000 just east of Denver, is now overrun by this violent gang, which has taken over several apartment complexes and unleashed a wave of crime.
While Denver tops the nation in per-capita migrant arrivals, with over 40,000 since December 2022, Aurora is left to deal with the fallout.
