Oklahoma Congressional Candidate Abby Broyle is safe after what appeared to be a suicidal tweet just over a week since the Democrat would-be politician had to apologize for her drunken behavior and swearing at children during her daughter's sleepover late February of this year. Fox 25 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma has reported that since the tweet "You guys win. I'll just kill myself" her older brother,
Jason Broyles has since reported that she is safe presently.
Broyle had previously tried to justify her behavior saying that she wasn't who she was depicted as being and that she was sure she was far from the only Oklahoman to have "too many on a Friday night." After the Twitter debacle, Broyles said she was taking a break from social media to focus on her mental health which is part of why her statement alarmed so many considering it was the first tweet since announcing a move away from the public eye to focus on emotional issues she was dealing with.
Previously Broyles had claimed she "hallucinated" during the affair with the children. Others suggest she was just blackout drunk perhaps mixing alcohol with prescription pills or other drugs. She did admit to having mixed sleeping pills with wine she brought to the sleepover she was invited to help chaperone by another parent. She says she had been struggling with both sleep and anxiety issues. For the record, in such situations, mixing a box of Franzia with Ambien is probably not your best bet, whether you have higher political aspirations or not.
Broylan says she doesn't remember anything from the night in question up to the point
she woke up vomiting into a hamper.
