Hollywood is burning, and it's a glorious fire that we can all get comfy around and stay warm as it pops and cracks it's way into an inferno of catastrophic proportions.
In what appears to be a triple threat exposure, where sexual harassment, pedophilia, and forced rape claims are coming to the surface all across the boards, the sexual predator crisis has now ensnared another renowned film director.
Brett Ratner, infamous for directing films including the Rush Hour series, X-Men: Last Stand, Money Talks, and a multitude of other films; is now being accused by six separate women of sexual assault.
Throughout Ratner’s career he's directed films, published books and magazines, and also had Executive Producer roles for a vast array of television series and movies including MTV’s “Catfish” and “Horrible Bosses”.
Brett Ratner was also given a star on the Hollywood “Walk of Fame” on January 19th of this current year, and has a deal with Warner Brothers.
In those names are a few very prominent female leads, including actress Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge; as well as several other women.
According to Natasha Henstridge, when she was only 19 years old she was at a party at the New York apartment of Brett Ratner when she fell asleep on his couch while watching television.
When Natasha awakened from her nap, she was shocked to notice that everyone had left and she was alone with Ratner.
That's when she got up and started to leave, but Ratner was having none of it.
Ratner blocked her path has she attempted to cross through the doorway, says Natasha, and no matter how hard she pushed past him he wouldn't budge.
That's when she says that Brett Ratner began touching himself and masturbating, and then literally forced her to perform oral sex on him.
“He strong-armed me in a real way. He physically forced himself on me,” she said. “At some point, I gave in and he did his thing.”
This occurred in the early 1990’s, long before Natasha Henstridge ever gained success in blockbuster films such as “Species”, “The Whole Nine Yards”, “Ghosts of Mars” and many television series throughout her career.
At the time she was a fashion model just making her way into the inner circle of celebrity potential, and Brett Ratner was an director of music videos who aspired to become amongst the elite in Hollywood.
Henstridge isn't alone however, with five other women saying similar forms of sexual assault at the hands of Ratner occurred to them as well.
Actress Olivia Munn claims that in 2004 Ratner came into her trailer on a film and began masturbating in front of her to the point of ejaculating.
“He walked out, with his belly sticking out, no pants on, shrimp cocktail in one hand and he was furiously masturbating in the other,” according to Olivia Munn who says she's still tortured by that image to this day.
“And before I literally could even figure out where to escape or where to look, he ejaculated,” said Munn.
She said this occurred on the set of “After the Sunset” in 2004, and that ever since this she has avoided taking roles in any way that would be related to Brett Ratner.
“I've made specific, conscientious choices not to work with Brett Ratner,” Munn said.
“It feels as if I keep going up against the same bully at school who just won't quit,” she said. “You just hope that enough people believe the truth and for enough time to pass so that you can't be connected to him anymore.”
Katherine Towne claims that Ratner has followed her into his bathroom after she had rejected his attempts to persuade her to have sex at a 2005 party ,and once he has her trapped in the restroom he told her he liked his women “chubby sometimes”, a form of sexual harassment she says was degrading and embarrassing.
“He started to come onto me in a way that was so extreme,” said Towne, suggesting that he had been attempting to coax her into having sex with him the entire night.
“I think it’s pretty aggressive to go in the bathroom with someone you don’t know and close the door,” Towne said.
She said due to being nervous, and trying to make him leave her alone she attempted to make a joke about herself being weight.
“I don’t even know what you want with me. I’m kind of chubby right now, “ said Towne, but Ratner persisted regardless.
“I like ’em chubby sometimes,” she said Ratner replied.
Towne gave Ratner her number and told him maybe some other time just to escape she says, and that Ratner’s assistant called her for the next six months, unsuccessfully trying to arrange a date for her and the filmmaker.
Jamie Ray Newman also says that back in 2005 Ratner “graphically described” how he intended to perform oral sex on her, and then later showed her nude photos of his girlfriend in an attempt to seduce her.
Newman says in 2005 her and Ratner first encountered each other on an Air Canada flight, where he swapped seats with his assistant so he could get closer to her and spew his perverse message.
“He was graphically describing giving me oral sex and how he was addicted to it,” she said.
She said that's when he started showing her naked photos of his then-girlfriend, who she didn't name, but said stars in Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of “The Punisher”.
Ratner, has dated many celebrities including Serena Williams in his lifetime.
He is fervently denying all of the new allegations against him through his attorney, high profile defense lawyer Marty Singer.
“I have represented Mr. Ratner for two decades, and no woman has ever made a claim against him for sexual misconduct or sexual harassment,” Singer said in an official letter to <a href="http://www.latimes.com/business/hollywood/la-fi-ct-brett-ratner-allegations-20171101-htmlstory.html">The Los Angeles Times</a>.
“Furthermore, no woman has ever requested or received any financial settlement from my client,” said Singer.
The 48 year old Brett Ratner was on par to having a dominant role in Hollywood, and has amassed a love life for the record books dating the likes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Mariah Carey.
Apparently this is a well known secret in Hollywood, much like Weinstein; because in December of 2016 actress Tina Fey, who was speaking at the Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Women in Entertainment Breakfast, made a joke about apparently these exact scenarios in regards to Ratner.
Tina Fey said, “Brett Ratner is here. In his defense, he thought this was a thing where you could eat breakfast off of 100 women.”
Even more so interesting is the major, $450 million dollar deal Ratner has with Warner Brothers; to which WB says they are now “reevaluating their $450 million four-year deal with Ratner's RatPac Entertainment”, which he formed with James Packer and Steve Mnuchin giving him elite status.
With Warner Brothers, Ratner has the Executive Producer credits on the Johnny Depp film “Black Mass” (which by the way was a great film), and “Jersey Boys”.
The prominent Jewish Director has claimed that he doesn't do drugs or drink alcohol but had an aficionado for attractive females, where in 2008 he told the Jewish Journal “I'm not into dark stuff. I'm just a nice, Jewish kid; who loves movies and pretty girls.”
More may come forward, only time will tell, but Ratner would be the next Hollywood elite to go down for sexual assault after several others recently including Harvey Weinstein, who was accused by hundreds of women of sexual assault; and most recently actor Kevin Spacey, who has been accused of homosexual pedophilia.
Keep in mind the “#MeToo” awareness campaign is granting victims of sexual assault and gross sexual misconduct a voice, and literally dozens of powerhouses have been accused now.
Grab your popcorn, stand up for victims and speak out against accusers, because this is only the beginning of the ride deep into the Hollywood rabbit hole of corruption.
