William Binney is an NSA whistleblower. On Friday, he told Tucker Carlson that the NSA is spying on all the members of the Supreme Court, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Congress, both House and Senate, as well as the White House. William Binney served the NSA for a duration of 30 years. In 2001, he decided to blow the whistle on the spying agency.
Binney told Tucker that he firmly believes that President Trump was spied on. In what appeared to be shocking revelation, He said that the agency is essentially taking the entire fiber network inside the U.S. and collecting all the data and storing it.
He identified the name of the program under which the data collection is taking place, he called it “Stellar Wind”.
He emphasized that the agency is engaged in the domestic collection of data on US citizens. Adding that everything that the U.S. citizens are doing from phone calls, emails and then financial transactions, credit cards, are all being recorded.
Binney said that there are people in the NSA who are targeting and looking at all the members of the Supreme Court, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Congress, both House and Senate, as well as the White House. The whistleblower revealed that the data is inside the NSA and a small group is looking at it. Their intention is to see what the people in power are planning to do so that the NSA can counter before certain actions are done.
Binney emphasized that instead of preventing terrorist attacks, the NSA is collecting loads of information which make it hard to stop attacks. The bulk collection of data is hindering the NSA’s ability to detect terrorist threats and stop them.
The NSA has been slammed for constantly failing to prevent attacks. He said that they pick up the pieces and blood after the attack.
Binney drew a contrast of the agency with the praetorian guard, by pointing out that they determine what the emperor does and who the emperor is. The whistleblower expressed his concern over who is going to stop the controversial agency.
