Last weekend, the New York Times wrote an article explaining how US President Trump in his February 2017 speech just might had a point there about Sweden seeing just a smidge of immigrant violence issues (see our related coverage).
The next day, the European business magazine ‘The Economist’ followed up with an article of its own covering the same subject, entitled ‘Why are young men in Sweden shooting at each other?’ in which they pretty much repeated the point made by the New York Times, this time with a lot more statistics added to it.

According to The Economist “72% of shootings in Sweden are committed by first or second generation migrants", which is a rephrasing of the NYT saying that 24% of the street gangs were ethnic Swedes, which also means that 76% of those street gang members are non-ethnic Swedes.
In any case, we guess the statistics of the NYT and The Economist put together mean that the mainstream media just admitted that three quarters of shooting and gang related violence in Sweden is done by migrants.
