The long-running legal battle between internet mogul (and MegaUpload founder) Mr Kim Dotcom and the government of New Zealand has been decided in the favour of Mr Dotcom. Of course, the government is expected to appeal.

New Zealand's Human Rights Tribunal ruled that the government of New Zealand should pay Mr Dotcom some NZ$90,000 (US$65,600) after it had failed to provide him with all information held by public agencies about his case, something which he had requested.
The amount broke down to NZ$30,000 for the "loss of a benefit" and NZ$60,000 for "loss of dignity and injury to feelings."

Mr Dotcom tweeted: "By unlawfully withholding information that could have helped my case the former attorney general of New Zealand has perverted the course of justice."

Lastly, the New Zealand Government and Ministers have now been ordered by the court to comply with Mr Dotcom’s original requests and supply him with all relevant documents. He even challenged newly elected Prime Minister Ms Jacinda Ardern to ‘do the right thing’.

Another example of why the US's Bill Of Rights is important.
Double Jeopardy and failing to release all information when Government is the Guilty party.
