Clark County sheriff Mr Joe Lombardo announced during a press briefing that the arrest of 5 members of the infamous MS-13 gang had helped his bureau solve 10 murders.
His metro unit had originally identified as many as eight suspects, but three of them were cleared and have provided “vital information” to the investigation, Sheriff Lombardo explained: “the suspects involved in these crimes are extremely violent and killed their victims over as little as identifying with another gang or participating in street-level narcotics sales.”

During the months of February and March, Mr Lombardo’s unit worked in cooperation with the FBI, the U.S. attorney’s office and various other law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles and Fresno, California, to build their case against the arrested gang members.

“This has required immense dedication and hard work by our homicide detail and our gang unit,” Sherriff Lombardo stated.

“They were able to piece together a case in three months, which is a short period of time with an investigation of this magnitude.”
“I do want the public to know that this investigation has been a priority for this agency for the last several months as we made connections between the victims and their killers.”
For most of 2017, the criminal gang MS-13 operated rather quietly under Metro’s radar, killing two that year. But in January 2018 detectives linked two homicides that happened “in close proximity with many similarities.”

I wouldn't be so quick to congratulate them wholly. LVMPD is very selective about reporting serious crime and very quick to pat themselves on the back.
-What about the MS-13 connection to the Oct Vegas Mass shooting ?
I wonder if Jesus Campos was one of them?
