A bad pedophile man in the UK was sentenced to a three-year prison term after the court found him guilty of arranging to meet up with a six-year-old kid to sexually abuse her.
Last year, 40-year old Peter Rider from Norwich was negotiating with a man whom he thought was the stepfather of a six -year old girl. Rider told the man via text messages that he would like to carry out sexual acts with the child and even said he would give her alcohol.
Rider "successfully" arranged a meeting with the stepfather and the child. He traveled more than 140 miles for the meeting. At the arranged meeting place, Rider showed impatience and readily order the man to "go and collect the child". He was not prepared for the surprise that awaited him.
Turns out, it was an undercover police operation. Rider was not dealing with the stepfather but with a police officer. He was arrested in the meeting by detectives from Kent Police Pedophile Online Investigation Team. When the officers searched the disgusting suspect's car, they found bags of sweets and a USB memory stick packed with 409 lewd images of children, including 38 of what authorities consider the most serious, belonging to category A.
Rider tried to give alibis after the arrest. He told the officers that it was "all just a fantasy" to him. He claimed that he will never abuse a child.
At the Maidstone crown court last Friday, the sick pedophile pleaded guilty, however, to arranging the meeting to commit a child sexual offense. He also pleaded guilty to four counts of possessing indecent images of children.
The court ordered Rider jailed for three years. He was also given a sexual harm prevention order which prevents him from making contact with children in the future. He was also denied access to the internet. The pedophile has been declared by authorities as a risk to the public.
The authorities also said they will always be vigilant in going after bad people who intend to commit sexual offenses against children, and ensure that horrible persons like Rider will end up in jail.
