Labour's Mr David Lammy, who is of the same political party as London Mayor Mr Sadiq Khan, has been widely mocked on social media after he repeated Mr Khan’s claims that the national government is to blame for the police cuts and that he ‘hadn’t seen police anywhere’, whilst there was an officer standing behind him.

In the midst of the utter crime madness in London, the leftwing Labour party has probably received orders from its leadership to attack the government in every interview for their budget cuts in policing rather than that admit that Mayor Khan’s policies of the last few years have failed.

The Tottenham Member of Parliament for Labour, Mr David Lammy, therefore appeared live on the national broadcaster BBC where he could be seen complaining about a lack of police presence in the city and even claimed he hadn't seen an officer since he had been in the area.

“It feels like neighborhood policing has vanished, it’s not around you. We haven’t seen police in a while and I’ve been here for quite a while now.”
As there was an officer standing in the background during the interview, you can imagine the public’s reaction.

The internet responded with fire and fury to Mr Lammy’s claim, mocking him in various ways.
