California Gun Store Owner Blows Sacha Cohen’s Cover

A California gun store says they have been targeted by Sacha Baron Cohen and his film crew as the guy best known for his role as Borat pretended to be a Hungarian immigrant who was interested in purchasing a firearm. The store owner saw through the pathetic act and was forced to flee after his epic fail of a “performance.”

Warrior One Guns & Ammo owner Norris Sweidan says he easily saw through Cohen’s disguise. He shared: “He comes in, off the bat you can see in the video I’m looking like, this guy does not look like a Hungarian immigrant, tight a leather pants, a beard, it just didn’t fit. The moment his words came out of his mouth I was like this guy is full of s*.”

Cohen further blew his disguise when he asked to purchase a gun in a strange accent.

Sweidan said that when he exposed Cohen’s disguise, the usually chatty celebrity had nothing to say and instead made a hasty, embarrassed exit.

The gun store owner said, "I’m looking at the producer and I’m just like am I being fooled right here. And I just kept looking at the guy and I was like you’re Borat, as soon as I said that his eyes just looked at me like, and he did a turn right out the door.”

Cohen even left his crew behind. Sweidan tried to make the crew members confess to their motive and intention behind the petty disguise of Cohen, but they kept their silence. That’s when the owner knew for sure it was just a set-up.

Sweidan said: “Once I knew it was Borat, we already know his game and his bull*, so we knew he’s here to make a mockery, and of what? Gun owners? The gun business, gun shops. You’ve got some gun advocate holding a bunny on some gun, if you’re a gun advocate, what the f*** are you doing holding a gun with a bunny on it, really?”

Cohen just released the first video in his “Who Is America?” series that will premier on Showtime. Controversy has been brewing over gun rights activists role in the film.

Too bad for bad-acting Cohen the store recorded the entire thing on their surveillance video and shared it on their social media site. There was also a footage of Cohen looking pathetic at the parking lot, standing and seemingly rattled for having his cover blown, and at a loss on what to do next.
