There’s disturbing news to report coming out of the greater Houston area, where law enforcement announced the arrest of a Texas Children's Hospital Respiratory Physician who they say was arrested for the possession of child pornography.

49-Carlos-Carreon is a Respiratory Therapist at Texas Children's, where he works with underage patients.
Carreon not only treated the patients for their illnesses but also secretly lived a double life as a pedophile, stunning both staff and colleagues at the Texas Children's Hospital.
Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office in Texas say that they made the arrest of Carreon on Thursday, and began interrogations.
During that process, Carreon willingly provided his electronic devices to Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, where they would find at least one child pornographic video depicting a prepubescent minor child engaged in a forced sexual assault at the hands of an adult.
At that time, Deputies arrested Carreon and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail where he remains jailed on a $1,000,000 cash bond.

After Carlos Carreon was taken into custody, the Inmate Roster of the Montgomery County Jail was able to provide his address as being at 401 East Clayton in Hebbronville, Texas.

Texas Children's Hospital confirmed that Carreon was a Respiratory Therapist at their facility, and placed more than a strong emphasis on the past-tense phrasing of such.
As part of their statement released from Texas Children's Hospital, their Communications Director said he was both "very disappointed with this information," and that the healthcare is "fully cooperating with the authorities.”

<b>It is also time that we as a society hold our elected officials accountable in demanding stricter punishments be enforced with tough new legislation against anyone who would victimize a child, of either life imprisonment, of capital punishment. Oftentimes, they are released and re-offend. There is no rehabilitation for child sex offenders.</b>

They also said that Carreon was immediately terminated from his duties at Texas Children's Hospital and that the moment they'd heard of the charges against him they'd proceeded with a formal termination decision.
The Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force assisted in the case, in cooperation with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, and the Houston Police Department, according to Deputies.
Sheriff's Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office are now expressing concern as to whether Carreon has engaged s child patient in a fashion that would be considered a criminal act.
