There Is No Hate Speech Exception To The 1st Amendment

For nearly a year across America and especially on

Universities, protesters filled with the likes of Social Justice Warriors and Marxist indoctrinated students have been demanding that schools end their allowance of ‘hate speech’ on campus.

They have tried to shut down speech which they state is a direct threat to their existence. Many of which are gay and transsexuals and minorities claiming that such hateful rhetoric could result in their deaths as an argument that speech containing specific messages is not protected by the constitution.

On Monday however, in a major victory for advocates of Free Speech, the United States Supreme Court unanimously reaffirmed that there is no so-called "hate speech" exception to the First Amendment.

During his oversight notes, Justice Samuel Alito wrote, "Speech that demeans on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, disability, or any other similar ground is hateful; but the proudest boast of our free speech jurisprudence is that we protect the freedom to express ‘the thought that we hate.'"

Justice Anthony Kennedy, in a separate opinion, echoed Alito's sentiments. "A law found to discriminate based on viewpoint is an "egregious form of content discrimination," which is "presumptively unconstitutional,'" Kennedy wrote, continuing to say, "A law that can be directed against speech found offensive to some portion of the public can be turned against minority and dissenting views to the detriment of all."

He went on to write, "The First Amendment does not entrust that power to the government's benevolence. Instead, our reliance must be on the substantial safeguards of free and open discussion in a democratic society," he concluded.

The worst possible reminder of the times we live in is that is is now the modern ‘progressives’ of whom are actually trying to silence Free Speech. In fact, in the 60’s it was the Democratic party which stood in favor of protecting the Constitutional Right of Free Speech.

Now in 2017 however that party has been hijacked by young and indoctrinated cultural Marxist driven Anarcho-Communist sects such as Antifa, Black Lives Matter, NAMBLA, GLAAD, BAMN, and a handful of other radicalized leftists that are oppressing the speech and rights of traditional conservative Americans.

The victory being once again underscored by the Supreme Court on Free Speech ensures that all speech is protected by the Constitution regardless if it triggers a few left wing radicals.
