A police officer is accused of fatally shooting an armed, black security guard who was said to be only doing his job at that time by detaining a suspect who opened fire with several people being shot at a suburban bar in Illinois early Sunday morning.
Trouble started when the security of Manny’s Blue Room Bar in Robbins, Illinois asked a group of drunken men to leave the establishment. One man from the group apparently didn’t like being asked to leave, and returned shortly with a gun. Witnesses said the man then opened fire and shot at people.
Security returned fire, and 26-year-old security guard Jemel Roberson was even able to detain one of the drunken men involved in the indiscriminate shooting. Unfortunately, it was the scene witnessed by the responding police officers when they arrived at the scene of the incident.

Witnesses say the responding officers saw the black man with a gun “and basically killed him.” Those who were there at the incident also said the people were screaming “security!” but to no avail, and the police still killed the guard.
Witness Adam Harris told the local media: “Everybody was screaming out, ‘He was a security guard’, and they basically saw a black man with a gun and killed him.”
The Midlothian police have confirmed that two of their officers responded to the shooting scene and one of the officers indeed opened fire. The statement, while releasing few details, admitted that an officer “encountered a subject with a gun and was involved in an officer-involved shooting.” It also said that the “subject” was later declared dead at an area hospital.
While authorities are still trying to piece together what happened that led to the security guard’s death, Roberson’s mother, Beatrice Roberson, has filed a lawsuit on Monday seeking $1 million in damages from the village if Midlothian and the officer for the said officer using “unprovoked” and “excessive” force in fatally shooting Roberson.

The officer has yet to be identified by his real name. He was referred to as John Doe in the victim’s mother’s complaint.
Midlothian Police Chief Daniel Delaney said that responding officers also found multiple victims inside the bar. Other than Roberson, four others- including the suspected gunman-were shot during the incident. The suspect remained hospitalized on Monday.
Roberson’s shooting triggered furious reaction on social media, and an outpouring of sympathy for the victim and his family.

Yeah sure, the POLICE - — Currently, in the U.S., law enforcement kills around 1,200 citizens per year. Ironically, that number is actually four times higher than those who die from rifles. As has been recorded, cops have killed 450 percent more people than have died in the past forty years of mass shootings.

Shooting a Citizen and then whining "I was in fear for my life" should result in immediate LIFE ban from law enforcement not a "license to kill" and if you pass the criminal investigation —- you can go work at a Walmart where you will be safe. Shooting a harmless pet should mean immediate firing.
