An intense situation which scared many passengers on board a flight over the ocean as an AirAsia X-plane is filmed from within shaking like a "washing machine" after suffering a technical fault.
The International Flight D7237 had to reverse course back to Perth after take off for Malaysia just before 07:00 local time (00:00BST) on Sunday.
Local Water Police Department said that emergency services north of Perth were put on standby for a possible water landing, as the plane appears to literally look as if it may fall apart in the air.
A number of passengers told reporters the plane suffered an "engine seizure", although AirAsia X has yet to comment on the situation.
