Breaking News : Mass Shooting At Nightclub Hits 17 People

Police said that after a dispute broke out at a popular Little Rock, Arkansas, nightclub that 17 people were reportedly shot.

Little Rock Police Chief Kenton Buckner said in a statement that a total of seventeen people were hit by the array of gunfire inside the club while one person was listed as being in critical condition.

The youngest person who was shot inside the club is just 16-years-old, Buckner added. The mass shooting, which took place around 2:30 a.m. local time according to police, does not appear to be terror related.

Several other people were injured trampling one another fleeing the club via the exits when the gunfire began as well. Police say it's unclear at this time as to how many non gunfire related injuries there are.

Buckner said he couldn't release any specific information about the suspect but that it was possible there could be multiple suspects.

"Certainly during incidents such as this, emotions are very high. We need to be very careful with our words," Buckner said. "This is a blip on the map that we certainly didn't need, considering the history that we've had over the past week."
