Mother Brutally Beats her 8-Month-Old Baby, Walks Free - Judge Says Child 'Will Get Better'

Child abuse is likely one of the most disgusting crimes on the planet, and should be met with swift and harsh punishment at every opportunity available.

Recently 26 year old Lorien Norman plead guilty in a courtroom to causing harm with intent after she was charged with beating her 8-month-old child with a kitchen cooking spoon.

That charge could have, and should have carried a maximum sentence of thirteen years behind bars.

The woman, being a heavily attractive if not promiscuous young female, seemingly used her lavish beauty to her advantage in a successful attempt to manipulate the courtroom to her benefit.

The District Court Judge, Jack Costello, told Norman in the courtroom that as long as she followed the orders of Community Corrections and did not reoffend in any way for two years after the case he would ensure the young mother that she will not spend a single day in jail.

Yes, even as you can see these brutal images of the injuries sustained to a young baby by an abusive mother, the judge actually set the woman free even after she admitted to the crime.

Yes this is the type of aficionado we currently have to deal with in modern society. A demented individual such as this woman is able to commit a horrific crime and then walk away without punishment.

It's not even her first time being accused of threatening to harm her child either which only makes this case even more shocking.

Just this past October, Norman called the police threatening to throw her young daughter Evie, who was a newborn at the time, off the top of a balcony in Adelaide.

During that incident she wasn't charged, and was recommended for counseling by civil services.

Now however she's actually committed the acts that have left her baby battered and bruised to the extreme and gets to go home as if it never happened.

In the current case police received an emergency 911 call about a baby who had been injured severely.

When police arrived to the home they found young Evie with severe bruising to the girl's face and took both the mother and child to hospital for examination.

While at the hospital a pediatrician documented that they had found the toddler with 'at least eight separate blows to the face and body', with extreme bruising on her forehead, cheeks, ears, neck and arm,all of which was caused by a kitchen spoon and the mother's hand.

To top the matter off, after the attack the mother posted pictures of Evie onto social media to show off the wounds.

All of the disturbing images show the young girl sporting a black eye with a small cut and dark bruises across her face.

When police first arrived the mother attempted to persuade the officers that the child had fallen down at a playground, according to officer testimony.

Norman later admitted to being responsible, and as previously mentioned she plead guilty in the court to a sentence which carries a maximum of 13 years in prison.

Judge Costello told the Adelaide District Court last week when he came to a decision, “Whilst any assault of a child, particularly one of such a tender age and vulnerability, by a parent stands as a gross breach of trust, your offending is nevertheless far from the most serious of offending of this type in terms of the degree of force involved and the duration of the offending.”

He continued, “In this respect I particularly note the opinion of the treating paediatrician to the effect that there was no evidence of bony or intracranial injury and that your daughter's physical injuries were likely to completely resolve.”

The young girl's father, Shane McMahon, claims that he has raised the girl and her sister “single handedly” during the trial, and the Judge ignored those pleas.

Yes, this woman clearly beat an innocent angel of a baby half to death, and the Judge essentially said “It's okay, the child will get better”, and let the girl walk free.

This is a case if white knighting to the extreme, and no justice has been served. Absolutely disgusting.

That judge along with several others need to be locked up and never set free. Too many judges and lawyers are criminals and they're allowed to make laws telling us what we can or can't do. Kills me.
