Pro-Palestin activist, Norman Finkelstein was kidnapped by Nassau County Police October 9 right around midnight. He has described his ordeal as a process of "steps to just humiliate you, degrade you and break you morally. It's like how to tame a horse, a wild horse. It's an excruciating process of systematic, methodical, but most important protracted humiliation."

Professor Finkelstein was in his boxers ready for bed when the police came to his door and asked him to get dressed and come with him. October 10, he was supposed to appear in court. He believes they were attempting to have him arrested for not appearing to court after he was re-arrested. They pinned him against a bookshelf when handcuffing him.

"Treat him like a sack of potatoes," one of the police officers said. He was thrown to the ground. When he was taken in he was forced into a psychiatric evaluation. Evidence that he was crazy being the fact that he was still in the boxer shorts he was wearing when arrested.
This whole ordeal grew out of a letter-writing campaign protesting unethical and unconstitutional activities by husband and wife lawyer team Michael Chetkof and Allyson Burger. Dr. Finkelstein was first arrested at 11:15PM September 6th after peacefully passing out leaflets outside the lawyers' offices. His re-arrest was October 9 at 11:18. If you'd like to help, you can write a letter to Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas. A form letter has been prepared as a guide. incident until now - Feb '19.
Norman Finkelstein's unwavering fidelity to his quest for justice for Palestinians is bolstered by an intellect of lacerating clarity. and an unerring moral compass. Would we were all so endowed.
The more irate his attackers, the tawdrier and more contemptible they tend to be.
I support Norman Finkelstein
