Two men in Thornton Colorado have been confirmed dead after a shooting that took place at a Walmart Super Center late Wednesday night at 9901 Grant St. in Thornton. Hundreds of emergency responders showed up to the Thornton Town Center shopping plaza and at least one woman was transported to the hospital.

Police responded to reports around 6:30 p.m. that "multiple parties" were down according to the Thornton police Twitter. Around an hour later the scene was under control and the Thornton police department Tweeted "at this time this is not an active shooter."

Jaw Quawrn Thompson is an 18-year-old Walmart employee who was working when he heard gunshots in the back of the store and saw a woman running toward him. " Thompson, who just started working at the store a month prior, said "A lady came running back, screaming about the shots. I got her out."

Another man, Brandon Bonney, said his brother called him from inside the store saying "Bro, I'm inside Walmart, and there's a shooting here." Bonney told his brother Edward to "just get somewhere safe and hide." That is when Edward started to cry and his brother told him to keep the phone on silent and stay calm. Brandon Bonney hasn't heard from his brother since.

Police are keeping the public away from the scene armed with long guns at the intersections and are warning to stay away.
