Move over Scientology, there are a new mind control cult recruiting starlets! NXIVM was first known as an "executive coaching program" but like so many "self-help" programs, it had a darker side. In this case, the darker side comes in the form of DOS, believed to be short for Dominus Obsequious Sororium, Latin for "master over the slave women." NXIVM has been accused of creepy behavior in the past, but

He's discussed going "beyond age and gender" which may explain why he was picking up teenage girls for a time. One 15-year-old was told she was a "bodhisattva" during the grooming and seduction phase. This before she was apparently driven to suicide.

Allison Mack, according to Frank Parlato, a former employee of NXIVM, is most likely near the top level of the cult but is herself a victim and perpetrator considering her role in recruiting young women. Brainwashing, paddle beatings, forcible branding, meal and sleep deprivation are just a few of the tools Raniere uses to keep his followers in line. Rumors about the cult go back to 2003 at least when cult researcher Rick Ross of the Rick Ross Institute was sued for copyright infringement by going public with portions of one of the cult's manuals.

Doctor Danielle Roberts, another member of the cult, is currently being investigated by authorities in New York after having allegedly branded cult members' pubic area with a hot iron. This comes after former Dynasty star, Catherine Oxenberg turned over evidence to prosecutors regarding her daughter India's involvement with the group.

Frank Parlato was the first to break this story and has since spoken to the Sun who report having seen emails and screenshots that corroborate his account. Taken together with Oxenberg's testimony and the forthcoming investigation that resulted, it seems there may be something to the years of rumors. Parlato was let go from NXIVM when it was discovered he had been digging into the ledgers. He is currently facing litigation by Raniere and the millionaire heiresses, Clare and Sara Bronfman. The Bronfman fortune is at the root of funding the cult's operations according to Parlato.
Scary to think so many Millenniums and Snowflakes deify Hollywood personalities and blindly support their political rants .
