Federal authorities in Mexico seized a marijuana cannon of epic proportions last Thursday. The weed cannon was massive in size and built into a 15 passenger Dodge van which had been outfitted with a sliding roof that allowed drugs to be launched from inside the vehicle.

The custom-made bazooka was designed to fire drugs across the US/Mexico border and had a range of at least 200 meters. The cannon was confiscated by officials from the Attorney General’s office and Army along with 850 kilograms of marijuana near Agua Prieta, Sonora which is just south of Douglas, Arizona.
The cannon was the second of its kind seized in the last year. In 2016 another 3-meter bazooka was found in a van in September 2016. U.S. authorities have been aware of such devices launching drugs across the border since at least 2012.
