Video - Hannity Discusses Moores Letter

As you know, Mr Roy Moore, the Republican candidate for the Senate seat of Alabama, has been accused of dating underage girls.

After an interview on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program earlier this week, in which Mr Hannity gave him a 24-hour ultimatum to “remove any doubt” about allegations that he pursued teenage girls at a younger age, Judge Roy Moore wrote a letter in response.

It read:

“Dear Sean, I am suffering the same treatment other Republicans have had to endure. A month prior to the General Election for US Senate in Alabama, I have been attacked by the Washington Post and other liberal media in a desperate attempt to smear my character and defeat my campaign. Over the last 40 years, I have held several public offices, including Deputy District Attorney, Circuit Judge, and Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.“

Mr Moore went on at length to discuss his impeccable track record before stating that he believed the signatures which was supposedly his, has been forged, before ending with the conclusion:

"Are we at a stage in American politics in which false allegations can overcome a public record of 40 years, stampede the media and politicians to condemn an innocent man and potentially impact the outcome of an election of national importance?"

Mr Hannity told his viewers that Moore’s fitness for office “shouldn’t be decided by me,” and invited any of the accusers of Mr Moore to come onto his show to talk about these issues.

He did not call for the former Alabama chief justice to exit the race but instead referred to the 15 million dollars that have been paid by Congress for sexual misconduct allegations. Mr Hannity said: “I’m demanding tonight, they paid 15 million dollars of your money, that was paid out to victims. Who are they? Tell us now. And why did they pay it? They need to be exposed.

Is Mr. Hannity now the judge, jury, and executioner of our once great democracy?

I think that Mr. Hannity is trying to make sure no one else plays that role.
