Homeland Security Finds $70k, 100's of Child Porn Videos on Portland Amtrak Passengers

A major victory by multiple law enforcement agencies in Portland, Oregon after they've stumbled upon what appears to be two men who were involved in a high-level trafficking of both narcotics and illicit child pornography in Portland, Oregon.

Officials say that a drug enforcement unit known as the High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program (HIDTA) and Homeland Security Investigations, both were at the Portland Amtrak station randomly screening passengers when they discovered the Asian suspects.

During the random screenings, Fong Lee and Ying Moua were both stopped to inspect their luggage, and agents say they were stunned when they found that each of the men had $35,000 in cold cash vacuum sealed inside of their bags.

This prompted K-9 dogs to be called to the scene, who then picked up on the scent of drugs and found narcotics in bulk, although<a href="http://koin.com/2017/12/07/police-find-nearly-70k-child-porn-in-passengers-luggage/"> local news KOIN </a>didn't specify what type of drugs were inside.

Up in further inspection, the agents then noticed the men were carrying multiple external hard drives for computers, SD cards, and various computer equipment.

Officers found several hundred videos of child pornography on those devices and even some in hard copies as if these two men were possibly child sex traffickers.

Moua reportedly told authorities that he obtained the cash by selling marijuana, to which he claimed he was on his way into California to spend the cash on replenishing his stock and was then headed back to Minnesota to make the sale.

Lee confessed to police that he uses file-sharing software to receive and transmit the child pornography, of which he was already caught red-handed regardless.

Some of the disturbing images and videos that Lee had in his possession showed children as young as 5 being raped by adult men, according to court documents.

During the interrogation, Lee also told police that he had engaged in a sexual relationship with a minor child that is known to him and that the innocent child was only 12-years-old and he was 21-years-old at the time of the incident, which he claims occurred in California.

Each of the men are now being held without bond.
