With the success of its predecessors, it was only a matter of time before we saw another reboot of the Jurassic Park films. Now, the trailer for the latest installment has arrived with a boom.

The upcoming film is titled "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" and arrives in theaters June 22. If you didn't have a reason to look forward to next year then you now because this latest installment is upping the ante with more scale than we've ever seen before.

From the trailer, it is apparent that a geological disaster is about to wipe out the dinosaurs, again. This time, the threat isn't a giant meteor falling from space but rather a threat from within the earth herself, a volcano.

Claire must gather her team of professionals that survived the destruction of the park in the last movie Jurassic World, and head back to the island of Isla Nublar once again.

This time, Claire and Owen set out to save the dinosaurs from becoming extinct.

In this film, it appears we get a better look at the political side of the events in the movies that we never got before as Jeff Goldblum's character can be seen testifying at a court proceeding with apparently powerful figures at the helm.

Getting a perspective that shows what the government has to say about the dinosaur-filled island will be interesting but that's far from all the film has to offer.

The creators of the film say that this time around they are taking the opportunity to get the most out of practical effects and animatronics as possible. The previous film's director, Colin Trevorrow, tweeted an early look at a scene with an animatronic baby dino.

Although it doesn't appear that Jeff Goldblum's character, Dr. Ian Malcom, will be on the island adventure with Claire and Owen, he at least makes an appearance in the film bringing hope that other cast from the original movies may make a cameo as well.

Universal Pictures UK released an inside look behind the scenes with a special 'companion trailer featurette', a relatively recent addition to film promotion lingo.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-BbwjmSTE5g" frameborder="0" gesture="media" allow="encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The film's headliner Chris Pratt is quoted in the featurette saying, "We're literally blowing up the island." So don't worry explosion fans, Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom promises not to blow you away!

As to whether the film will be a worthy addition to the classic series remains to be seen, but with new director J. A. Bayona at the helm and considering the success of the previous films, Fallen Kingdom is gearing up to be one of next summer's blockbuster events.
