Veteran actor Dustin Hoffman is the latest to be accused of sexual assault by two women and another says he exposed himself to her while she was a minor.
The report from Variety quotes the victim, Cori Thomas, who would have been 16 and a high school classmate of Hoffman's daughter Karina. Thomas says she was 16 when she was left in a hotel with the actor alone while waiting for her parents to pick her up. Hoffman's daughter had already gone home when he went into the shower and emerged with a towel wrapped around him.
Thomas says Hoffman dropped the towel and revealed himself naked before putting on a robe and asking her to massage his feet. "I didn't know that I could say no, so I did it," said Thomas. "And he kept telling me, 'I'm naked. Do you want to see?"
Another accuser named Melissa Kester says she met Hoffman while her boyfriend was working on the music for Ishtar and the star grabbed her while in the recording booth and then stuck his fingers inside of her while her boyfriend was watching. "He kind of laughed," Kester said. "Then I just ran out of there, and I sat in the bathroom crying. I thought, "Oh my God.' I felt like I'd been raped. There was no warning. I didn't know he would do that."
A third accuser who asked to remain anonymous says Hoffman also assaulted her while working on Ishtar. She was an extra in the film and 22 at the time when Hoffman allegedly took an interest in her. He eventually took her to his home after the wrap party in a station wagon with several other people and stuck his fingers inside her during the car ride.
She says she froze and didn't know how to stop the unwanted contacted, "What are they going to think of me, that I’m a whore, if I say something?" she said. "What would I saw? He's Dustin Hoffman." They two later had intercourse but the woman was unclear if it was consensual saying, "I don't know."
Hoffman has been accused of sexual harassment by Actress Kathryn Rossetter, a co-star from Death of a Salesman, Anna Graham Hunter, and Wendy Riss Gatsiounis.
